304 2B Stainless Steel Coil
Stainless Steel coil is an alloy of Iron with a minimum of 10.5% Chromium. Chromium produces a thin layer of oxide on the surface of the steel known as the 'passive layer'. This prevents any further corrosion of the surface. Increasing the amount of Chromium gives an increased resistance to corrosion.
SS Coil also contains varying amounts of Carbon, Silicon and Manganese. Other elements such as Nickel and Molybdenum may be added to impart other useful properties such as enhanced formability and increased corrosion resistance.
2B finish is a type of cold rolled stainless steel coil finish readily available in stock in almost all major stainless steel grades. 2B finish stainless steel coils and stainless steel strips are generally available in thickness range of 0.2mm to 6mm. As compared to hot rolled materials, cold rolled 2B finish materials have a smoother finish, refined grain structure and better properties along and across the rolling direction. 2B finish materials can be further processed in our polishing machines to make Matte or No.4 brush finish stainless steel coils or mirror finish stainless steel coils No. 8, 8K mirror).
